“I never thought Chad would be such a jerk.  He said that he loved me, we were getting along great and then he ghosted me.  No warning, no texts, no explanation, just gone.  I’d don’t know how I would have held up without your support Paul.  I had no idea we’d become so close, but now I’m ready to move on.”

“You must know that I’ve always had a crush on you Jacki, but I’m so sorry you had to have your heart broken for us to get together.”

That evening Paul got a call.  “Want to know what happened to Chad?  Meet me at Perkins Pier at nine tonight.”  Click.

At nine, Paul arrived at the pier and was tapped on the shoulder.  When he turned he saw a bloated rotting body.  “Surprise Paul, you thought that drowning me would let you move in on Jacki.  Before I died I prayed for a chance to save Jacki from you and got it.”  Paul fired several bullets into Chad without any effect.  Chad wrapped his arms around Paul and pulled him into the dirty, rushing waters.  Neither was ever discovered.
